HAVENDALE, St Andrew – In a significant drug bust, police operatives from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) and the Narcotics Division seized several pounds of cocaine at a premises in Havendale, St Andrew, on Tuesday.
The operation, described as intelligence-driven, led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of two motor vehicles. According to the police, the operation lasted for more than three hours.
During a thorough search of the premises, the officers discovered a substantial quantity of cocaine. The occupants of the premises were taken into custody, although their names are being withheld pending further investigation.
The police have not yet disclosed the specific amount of cocaine seized or the estimated street value of the drugs. However, the operation is considered a significant success in the fight against drug trafficking in the area.
