Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment, and Sport, Olivia Grange, will not be attending this evening’s Independence Grand Gala at the National Stadium. Grange has contracted the flu virus, and her doctor has advised her to refrain from attending the event.
In her absence, President of the Senate, Tom Tavares Finson, will perform the ceremonial honors on her behalf.
